Does Paul Sullivan Read The Clark & Addison Chronicle?
Early Friday morning, I wrote that the Cubs pitching staff was on pace to break the season strikeout record. The Tribune’s Paul Sullivan carries that story in Saturday’s paper. (Note: I’m not really saying Mr. Sullivan copied me. It’s not as if I did anything but look at how many strikeouts the pitching staff had.) The current pace, Mr. Sullivan reports, is 1515 strikeouts, which would shatter the 1344 by the 2001 team.
