Guzman To Have Shoulder Surgery
Paul Sullivan reports in Sunday’s Chicago Tribune that pitcher Angel Guzman will have arthroscopic shoulder surgery and will miss the rest of the season:
No tear was discovered in Guzman’s shoulder after MRIs performed by the Cubs’ doctors and specialist Dr. James Andrews, but Guzman was feeling pain in the area and arthroscopic surgery was suggested as a better alternative to resting it and perhaps risking further damage if he returned in a month or so.
